We always get a spark of excitement when I see innovative ideas coming to life that resonate with PitchBob.io's vision and mission.
At PitchBob, we've long been dedicated to helping students develop entrepreneurial skills using our platform. It's a unique focus, and so far, we haven’t seen many generative AI solutions tackling this challenge quite like we do.
Today, we are thrilled to share our case study with Wharton (read here) and compare it to an impressive product developed within the MIT ecosystem, Orbit.
For an even broader perspective, I highly recommend Sara Brown’s thought-provoking article, “Are you ready for ‘AI as a co-founder’? Here are ways entrepreneurs can use generative AI to their advantage” (read it here).
While we are deeply impressed by Orbit’s capabilities and the outcomes it has delivered, our approaches to solving the same problem differ in meaningful ways—bringing more value and choice to the market. Here’s how:
- Interaction vs. Automation: Orbit operates based on minimal input, automating the creation of responses and materials. While this is efficient, we believe the true value lies in the interaction. That’s why PitchBob focuses on guiding students with tailored questions and providing hints to refine their answers. This approach fosters analytical thinking and self-reflection, critical elements for skill development.
- From Data to Final Documents: Orbit delivers data in table formats, which can be insightful but stops short of producing final outputs. In contrast, PitchBob’s goal is to create complete documents through interactive dialogues. Looking ahead, we aim to expand this to include prototypes and MVPs, giving students tools to test their ideas in real-world scenarios.
Despite our different methodologies, it’s clear that generative AI is becoming a key ally for educational institutions aiming to nurture entrepreneurship.
