As the founder of SessionReady, I realize the need for a co-founder who is proactive, innovative, and able to share the responsibilities of growing the startup. This role requires expertise in product development, funding, partnerships, and marketing. The co-founder should have a similar vision towards maximizing the effectiveness of therapy sessions and an understanding of our target audience—students and counseling centers. They will be a part of planning and executing our strategies, running pilot programs, and will play an integral role in decision-making processes. The co-founder will also represent SessionReady at meetings, enhance brand recognition, assist in securing financial support, and build beneficial relationships to extend our market presence. Their contribution would help in transforming our MVP into a scalable product with increased market share.

SessionReady is a mental health companion built to help people get more out of therapy. Our app offers Guided Reflections with AI follow-ups, Freeform journaling for open check-ins, and weekly Therapy Digests that summarize themes and progress. We are currently running pilots with student groups and partnering with counseling centers to measure outcomes. Our focus is on creating practical tools that support reflection between sessions and help people bring clearer, more useful insight to their therapists.

Students face capped counseling sessions, long waitlists, and limited time with therapists. Showing up unprepared means sessions are less effective, progress is slower, and scarce counseling resources are stretched thinner.
