Problems we solve

Client’s problem

High cost of logistics for meal kit companies. Lack of food quality for consumers. Convenience for consumers (they can eat when they want). No need to plan or shop and prep and clean for consumers. Restaurants can increase sales by making meals when they are slow

Confirmation of problem

The credibility of the issue is manifested by meal kit companies' quality compromises with excessive packaging, leaving consumers yearning for a local and fresh alternative.

PitchBob’s recommendation: PrepMate facilitates mix-and-match meals from local restaurants at reduced bulk prices, ensuring quality and convenience while lowering logistics costs.

My name’s

Harp Singh

My key role in the product

As the CEO of our startup, my key responsibilities encompass overseeing logistics and operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology infrastructure, and defining the overall vision for our company.

Team size and key members

Considering our expansion plans, we envisage roles for a CTO to oversee tech development, CFO for financial planning and a Head of Marketing too.

Our primary competitors in the meal kit delivery industry include established companies like Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, and Plated. We also consider local caterers and gourmet grocers as potential competition.

Our Advantages

Our startup optimizes the existing high-quality food assets of various restaurants by handling their logistics. We provide an extensive array of culinary choices; if a user isn't satisfied with one, they can easily select another, ensuring customer retention.

Business model

Restaurants pay us 10% of subtotal. Consumers pay us 5% of subtotal+ a $2.99 delivery fee.

Within a period of just three weeks, we successfully developed our minimum viable product (MVP) and enthusiastically generated an impressive revenue of $750.

As a nascent startup, we've yet to accumulate significant data on our product metrics such as User Retention, Average Order Size, Revenue per order, Monthly Recurring revenue or Lifetime Value (LTV). Nevertheless these KPI's will guide us in scaling effectively.

Burn rate is 0. CAC is 0 (we are just emailing people in college email lists). Churn is a bit complicated. So far we have had 50% of users reorder.
