ZSuperCap

Novel Ultrathin SuperCapacitor that has 100x capacity and is biodegradable and 20year shelf life.

The Idea origin story

Our startup, ZSuperCap, is revolutionizing energy storage with a ground-breaking ultrathin SuperCapacitor. It leverages cutting-edge, laser-prepared graphitic carbon technology in a dry process without solvents. This allows for 100x greater capacitance per sq cm in thin format compared to cylindrical counterparts, an impressive shelf life of 20 years, and the bonus feature of being biodegradable. This breakthrough holds potential to disrupt various sectors, including smart agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, as well as military and government.

The Mission

To be the leader and pioneer in environmentaly safe super capacitor energy storage

Clients

Our customers range from smart agriculture firms to infrastructure monitoring companies, and government & military entities.

Problems we solve

Client’s problem

Longevity, Form Flexibility, Clean (Solvent Free Dry Manufacturing) and Cheap Manufacturing

Confirmation of problem

1. Longevity - ours can last over 15years, others only 3 years. 2. Form Factor - It is flexible and flat for wearables and medical. 3. Manufacturing - significantly lower capex and cheaper production.

Solution

We've devised a Laser Induced Graphene supercapacitor. It's solvent-free, durable, cheaply manufacturable with a long lifespan and adaptable in shape.

Our technologies

This solution is based on technologies

Laser-prepared graphitic carbon technology, Dry Manufacturing process & advancements in energy storage technologies.

How it works

By creating LIG base supercapacitor and doing it without binders. We achieved 100x the capacitance compared to other approaches for LIG supercaps.

Value for the client

ZSuperCap offers a revolutionary ultrathin SuperCapacitor, providing superior energy storage, flexible form factor and eco-friendly solutions with significantly lower manufacturing costs.
